A Quick Overview - Nothing Ventured:

The first book of the series starring William Warrick. I must admit that I had a few napping moments while listening to the audiobook. However, it started getting more and more interesting toward the end, with all the twists unfolding.

In-Depth Review - Nothing Ventured:

Sir Julian Warrick , a prominent criminal lawyer in London, wants his son William Warrick, to follow in his footsteps although William always wanted to join the London Metropolitan Police Force . The first part depicts William's early life, his education and his relationship with the other members of his family . The story picks up the pace when William who also has a Master's degree in Arts is hired by a team led by Hogsby aimed at finding and arresting an infamous art thief, Miles Faulkner. The story also has a touch of romance with the introduction of Beth , a woman William meets during the investigation and is attracted to. The narrative also involves a few of some other trivial cases all along which is a nice distraction from the primary case of Miles Faulkner and also restores interest.

I really enjoyed the court scenes at the end of it. In fact , I always tend to find court scenes to be the best part of any novel I read or listen to provided that they are well written by the author and well narrated by the narrator in case of audiobooks. I'd not call Nothing Ventured a must-read but you can go for it if you have an inclination toward a thriller that involves police work and court scenes.
